Back from Retreat

Back to reality with a bang for me, kids have been up through the night, and now I'm deadset busy as just trying to get my shop organised for the upcoming Scrapbooking Delights retreat next weekend! All systems go eh...

I haven't had a chance to take any pics of my layouts as yet, but I managed 24 layouts and a mini album on my travels. Had an awesome time catching up with some old friends and making new ones, and learnt a lot about how a retreat is run. Can't wait to start organising my first Scrapbook Savvy retreat, I'll keep you posted on that!

And Miss Georgie in her fairy dress - I searched for this all day after Michelle had bought one the day before. Well worth the effort as Georgia has hardly taken it off since I arrived home two days ago!


I will upload some scrapping hopefully tomorrow, thats bound to be another photo heavy post!

The latest from Professor Cooper

Bit of background - my 17yo nephew has been known in our family as 'Professor Adam' for quite some years now. Since he started being so wise, and knowing everything, as all teenagers do really. His little cousin, my 4yo son Cooper, seems to be following in his footsteps already. Arguing things to beyond the point, giving you THAT look like you're a total idiot, and basically coming out with the most hilarious things that he honest to god thinks are the truth.

The latest from Professor Cooper, as he and his 2yo sister Georgia were lying in bed tonight, Cooper on the top bunk and Georgia in the bottom bunk. I was in the bathroom colouring my hair, trying not to piss myself laughing.

C: Georgie
C: Georgia
C: Georgieeeeee....
G: What?!
C: Do you know what I can do?
G: (no answer)
C: Do you know what I'm doing RIGHT NOW, Georgie?
G: What?
C: Do you know I can still talk when my eyes are closed?!
G: (no answer, obviously thinking, you idiot!)
C: I'm talking with my eyes closed, see Georgie, my eyes are closed and I can still talk!!
G: (nothing, she couldn't give a toss!)
Me: Standing in the bathroom cacking myself as quietly as I could!

If only I were as clever as you, Professor Coop! :)

35 Layouts for July!

Can you believe I scrapped that much this month?? I equalled my record for February...which was before I bought the store. I never thought I'd be able to keep scrapping this much with the business...but I guess its all about priorities and how much I still WANT to scrap, eh? :)

Its been a gorgeous day here in Wollongong today, started off for me with a major sleep in after the Savvy crop last night. After picking the kids up from Mum's, Em & I headed into the beach with them and met Kaz & the kids for a walk, coffee & play. Home for sleeps and then out again this afternoon for my friend Amanda's little boy Riley's 5th birthday party. The kids had a ball and were worn out enough for me to have them in bed BEFORE 8pm, lucky me!

Right now Juz & Em are here, they're scrapping and I am packing more page kits for Melbourne...only five more sleeps till the Bon's Retreat, I can't wait!

Anyhoo, here are the last three layouts for July, all done at the crop last night and all 'just because'.

I'm an Aunty again!

Welcome to the world, Spike Raphael Pettett!

My big brother Dave and my SIL Jozie had their baby boy at 1.35pm today, by emergency caesarian. He was a big boy at 8lb 11oz, much bigger than his big brother Sid. Thankfully Mum & bub are both fine now, and he was feeding like a little trooper when we got to visit late this afternoon.

Scrapping Up a Storm!

Thats what I've been doing! 10 layouts since Friday night, don't know the last time I scrapped that much over a weekend. Crop day @ Savvy yesterday helped, with three finished. Can't show all of them and have already showed you a couple, but here's the rest.

I have put off scrapping this photo for ages cause I just loved it and guess I was 'scared' to scrap it, for fear of wrecking it maybe? I'm not really sure but now its done and I'm glad it is.



Another one I'd been putting off, I think cause it was one 4x6 and I always find thats a bit difficult. This is Bronte laying on the absolutely beautiful quilt that the Illawarra Scquilters made her. Lucky huh?



This one is my take on the Savvy Scraplift for July, which was lifting one of Emma's layouts. Coop going into his 'big boy bed'. You've still got a couple of days to finish this challenge, upload your take to the gallery before the end of July.



Another page using the gorgeous Sarah Jane paper I bought at Scrapbooking Delights, tihs range was just so easy to use.




And finally this page of Daniel's dad with Bronte only a few days old, on one of his weekly visits that mean so much to us.

We celebrated my niece Molly's first birthday and christening on Sunday, check out this gorgeous girl.




A lovely day was spent with family, many more of those to come. :)

I'm thinking about heading into the beach for a walk, fingers crossed its not too windy in there this morning!

SD Crop

A very successful night was had by me at the Scrapbooking Delights crop last night - I finished four pages! I can't remember the last time I did that, it was great to be outside of my own environment and just being able to relax and scrap the night away. Here's what I achieved...

Bronte 'Being Mum', using the new Bella Sarah Jane range which is just divine, grab some at SD next time you're there before it runs out.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I am so far and the rest is looking tops. We've been to a birthday party today for one of Georgie's little preschool friends, I took the pups for a walk, now Des is here to scrap and Kindra & Juzzy are coming up later. Tomorrow is my niece Molly's christening and 1st birthday party, so looking forward to that!
