Bronte Joan Ward is here!

FINALLY! Our baby girl made her grand entrance at 11.46pm on Friday 23 May 2008, 14 minutes before our 5th wedding anniversary! I'm glad she has a day all of her own. After all the anxiety and waiting last week, everything was over and done with really quickly. I was in full labour for less than four hours and Bronte arrived after only 20 minutes of pushing. She is absolutely perfect, looks a little bit like Cooper and a little bit like Georgia...but mostly she just looks like herself.

So I'm back at home today, they pushed me out the door of the hospital just about. I was happy to come home though, and hubby had been cleaning like mad and had my house looking amazing when I walked in the door. The kids were stoked to have their baby sister at home and Cooper keeps saying to me 'I'm so happy you bought my new baby home'. Georgia is interested and points saying 'bubba', but really isn't too fussed by it all....mainly she just wants cuddles from Mummy, which I've been giving out as often as I can!

So, life here is about to become a whole lot more hectic for me, I think. Will be nice for the next month while Daniel is off work to help me, but its gonna be one big juggling act after that, I think. I'm so blessed though, and can't imagine it any other way.

Here are some piccies of our new addition!

This first one was taken just minutes after Bronte arrived - me, Daniel and my sister Nic with our gorgeous girl. My sis stayed for the birth and I loved having her there.

My girl, still all mucky but looking beautiful anyway.

Big brother Cooper, proud as punch.

My girls, 17 months apart. There won't be this much difference in their size for long.

Bronte & I, all ready to leave the hospital today. Check out the gorgeous blanket my mum made for Bronte, all my kids have had a handmade embroidered blanket which they've left the hospital under.

And home today, in her rocker on the quilt that I made for her.

Bedtime for me now, 8pm on Monday night, I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back up again...my nipples are NOT looking forward to that!! LOL

And still...

Can you believe it, I'm now three days overdue and still bloody waiting!!! I didn't for one minute think I'd go overdue, both my kids were three days early so I thought this one would be well and truly here by now. But no, think she has decided its too cold at the moment and that my belly is a good place to stay! Saw my midwife today and she doesn't think it'll be much longer...but who REALLY knows??? Feels to me like this baby is NEVER coming, that she is just a figment of my imagination....there was this huge buildup to our due date, then it comes and goes, and nothing...what an anti-climax. I know it'll be worth the wait and eventually she HAS to be born...but come on already!!!! ;)

I'll have news soon, I promise. LOL

Sar

I'm still here...

...and waiting! Bet you thought I'd disappeared and would be back with news, but no...we don't have a new baby yet. Soon I hope, six days until I'm due...

Totally unmotivated scrap-wise, can't believe just two weeks ago I was challenging myself to scrap every day until the baby arrives...yeh right! I can't even look at a page at the moment, can't concentrate, my mind just wanders. I have done a little piecing for Georgie's single bed quilt, but nothing to rave about and its nowhere near done. You'd think I'd be using this time to get as much done as I can, but no...

Here's a couple of pics of baby Nate on his quilt that I made together with my friends Alicia & Linda...he's too cute...

Happy Birthday to my niece, Isabelle, who turned 2 today! We had a lovely day at their house...apart from the few tantrums we had with the kids...can't believe we'll be throwing another one into the mix soon! ;)

Hopefully my next post will be a bit more exciting!!

Cheers,
Sar

Our new addition...

Well, not OUR new addition, but close....my new baby nephew, Nate! Here he is with Cooper, who was 'patting' him adoringly...his words, not mine...he said to Georgia 'Do you want to pat him, Georgie?'. Very cute.

Wonder how long until my bundle of joy is here? Any guesses?
