Another successful crop...

...at Scrapbooking Delights on Friday night! Had a great time with the girls, had a few not so quiet beverages, and got three pages done. Gotta be happy with that!

You Are Just Gorgeous - about my beautiful friend Linda, who looked absolutely amazing in this photo, not looking AT ALL like she'd just given birth. I've used the LYB Clothesline range and Flourish With A Bling available at Scrapbooking Delights.

New Years Picnic - using the sold out May He's Savvy Kit. This kit has gone soooo far! I've just done another one with it tonight and reckon one more piece of cardstock and I'll get even more.

Always Stop To Smell The Flowers - using the sold out May She's Savvy Kit. My gorgeous girl enjoying the moment, love how her eyes are closed!

Another crazily hectic weekend here and next weekend looking just as chaotic. Life WILL slow down shortly, it has to, doesn't it?? :s

Savvy CC

The Scrapbook Savvy CC has nearly come to an end, less than three hours now till deadline!

I finally managed to do Anthea's blind challenge today during crop, and OMG am I glad I did! If I do say so myself, I think this is one of my most beautiful layouts EVER! I love everything about it. Thanks Anthea!

Even if you don't meet the deadline, I would still head on over to the forum and get the instructions for this one, you won't regret it!

Nearly the end to another week, and nearly the end of May. Time is flying and its hard to keep up most days. Taking one day at a time really and doing what I can. All any of us can do, really!

Till next time. xoxo

More blind scrapping...

More pages done over at Scrapbooking From Scratch, love the step by step blind challenges that just get another page done quick smart. :)

Here are the last two we've done with Peta, last night and last Friday night.

Nearly the end of May and have to update my page count, I have a feeling I won't live up to previous months...but it goes without saying considering how CRAZY this month has been!

CC SALE!

Until midnight Thursday 27th May you will receive 20% off storewide at Scrapbook Savvy, to coincide with our May cybercrop! Grab some awesome bargains now!

As you all know, this month's cybercrop is all about 'I Can't Live Without My Mum' and we are talking about scrap related things we can't live without.

At the moment, I can't live without my diecut papers! There are just so many around and there are so many different ways to use them.

I am scrapping a page about my mum, but this is purely optional, you can scrap ANY topic you like.

My criteria is:

- Use a diecut paper as your BASE.
- Heartfelt journalling, I want you to be HONEST about whatever it is your page is about, and write down more information than just the basics.
- Use some glimmermist splatter on your page (or paint if you don't have glimmermist in your stash).

Here is my sample:

Upload your layout to the relevant gallery folder by midnight Thursday 27 May for your chance to win some Savvy dollars!

We've had a massive weekend here in the Ward household, with birthday parties galore including one of our own! My baby girl turned 2 on Sunday and we celebrated with family and friends and gave Miss Bronte the best day ever!

Where that two years has gone, I have no idea....Happy Birthday babe. xoxo

Boys are Handsome!

Just ask Georgie...she'll tell you. Quoted from my journalling on this page:

'Whenever we talk about how good looking you kids are (which is a lot because lets face it, you're all just gorgeous!), Georgia always tells me 'Mummy, girls are beautiful...and boys are handsome, aren't they!?' And she is right, you are one handsome boy...and you get more handsome as you grow up!'

This was the first sketch for May over at Stuck Sketches, always some awesomely inspiring stuff happening over there, check it out if you are Stuck!

Oh and I used the May He's Savvy Kit for this page, only two left, head over and grab one!

A fortnight of birthdays!

This weekend and next are totally taken up with birthdays, its a crazy couple of weeks for us! Today we have two parties, then one on Monday arvo, then one next Saturday night, then TWO next Sunday...one being our very own little miss Bronte turning two! Crazy busy, and crazy expensive as well! ;)

I decided to make some cards for the parties, not something I usually do but something I SHOULD. Here are a couple, all made from scraps and I was really happy with the end result.

So if I'm a little quiet, and not around as much on Facebook, the Savvy forum or here...you know why!

Em & I have just dyed eachother's hair, mine lighter, hers darker....here we are looking gorgeous! ;)

Hope your weekend is amazing. :)

Blind Scrapping @ SFS

If you need a kick in the bum to actually get a layout done each week, then blind scraping @ Scrapbooking from Scratch is for you! Each week Peta holds a blind scrap session and gives step by step instructions to create a layout...the catch being we don't know what the layout will look like until its done, so the steps are open to each person's interpretation! I love it, and have never finished a blind scrap disappointed. If you would like to subscribe, find out more info here.

This one was from a couple of weeks ago, all the kids at 'The Farm' down the coast, a place our boys have always loved and it appears the kids are following in their footsteps....lucky us mums can stay home and scrap instead!!

And this one from Monday night, on our way to Kate's Retreat in March, such an awesome time.

Thanks Pj for the inspiration, can't wait for the next one! :)

Only 2 left!

She's Savvy kits for May, that is. They're such a beautiful kit with so much NEW RELEASE product in it including So Sophie from My Minds Eye and three different Prima flowers. Here's a couple of pages I've done with mine so far, with lots more to come. Its just so pretty, grab yours here.

Another Mothers Day has been and gone, I was sad that Dan had to work but it was his last day working weekends so there will be no more missing special occasions for him! I spent the day with my Mum and my babies. I'm so lucky.

We're halfway through another crazy week in the Ward house, its just so busy all the time! Between Savvy and school, activities and birthday parties, work and study for Dan, it never ends. Loving it though, being a Mum is the best job ever...and getting to be here with my babies while running my business is a dream come true. Hard work, yes....but a dream nonetheless. I need to remember this more often. xoxo

What a Week!

OMG, this week has been phenomenal! Between this...

meeting Becky Fleck for the first time (the creator of Pagemaps)

and this...

meeting Wendy, the lady who created Glimmer Mist in her kitchen!

and this...

seeing Heidi Swapp once again, who gave the most amazing talk and inspired me no end. xoxo

After the awesome couple of days I spent at SIA, I have a lot going through my head and lots of ideas, stay tuned. ;)

Other than that we've had good news in my house, with my DH FINALLY being moved over to night shift during the week...so we can finally be together as a family on the weekends. And its happening straight away, like starting this week! We won't know ourselves. Cooper will be so excited to have someone to share all the footy on Austar with and I'll be able to get myself into a routine during the week. Can't wait!

I haven't photographed all the amazing work I did at SIA yet, but here's one I did last night the He's Savvy Kit, plus my page for this month's Kit Challenge:

One Perfect Day, a pic of Bronte & Nate at the duck pond, enjoying the view.

And my challenge page, the criteria this month being rounded corners, initial or initials and a matted photo, enter before the 25th of this month for your chance to be next month's guest Savvy Designer!

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there, I'm looking forward to a bit of a sleep in tomorrow and then lunch with my Mum. xoxo
