The busy-ness continues!

It is non-stop in my house at the moment, the scrap room is finally looking half decent although I am still waiting on a slat wall and my blinds, both of which should hopefully be here next week.

The week that was, was just wonderful! Organisation plus in getting the room ready for a spur of the moment scrap day with the Savvy girls on Thursday. We took advantage of Peta being down to visit her sister and stole her for a day, and also here for the fun was Em, Lisa and Marijana....and lots of kids! Here we are in the scrap room...

Not too much productivity by me, I only finished one layout (which I can't even show you!) and nearly finished another one which is still waiting on finishing touches.

Then Friday night we all met up again for dinner, and my bestie Leesh came too. Awesome night, food was divine, conversation was non-stop and the drinks were very nice too... ;)

So everything is going really well at Savvy, I'm settling in nicely and having fun ordering new stuff. There are lots of new things coming soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I have 30% off all Basic Grey for the entire Anzac Weekend, I need room for new papers so all these gorgeous lines just have to go. Head on over to Scrapbook Savvy and grab some of the most popular BG lines at amazing prices.

The only other scrapping I have to show is what I managed when I was away at Loz's place last weekend for Chloe's first birthday. It was a pathetic effort with only two layouts finished....next time remind me to leave my children at home, won't you!! :)

This one is an Inspired Blueprints sketch, the only one I've managed of late, #14 to be exact.

And this one was a step-by-step layout with instructions by Lisa Warren, using product leftover from a class I did at Scrapbooking Delights. LOVE this one, the colours are out there and not my norm, but totally happy with it.

Thats it from me, big share, I'll try not to leave it so long next time.

Cheers,
Sar

Look at my Big Girl Georgie!

Today Georgie decided she wanted earrings like Isabelle....and Charlotte....and Emma....SO, she now has her ears pierced! She was so brave and only cried for a minute, forgetting about it as soon as she reached the park in the shopping centre. She is VERY proud of herself and showing off to whoever she can! Can't believe she is getting so big. I always said she could have earrings when SHE decided she wanted them, thinking that'd be when she was about six or something, but no...at two she made her decision and that was that!

Things in my house are hectic, to say the least. It looks as though a scrap shop exploded in my house...which I guess it kinda sorta did! I'm getting organised, the painting is done bar one coat on one wall which will be done tonight. The stocktake is nearly finished and then I can start adding the other 22 boxes of stock to the store...its a BIG job and I'm a 'little stressed'...ask Daniel and he'd laugh at that...but its all good!

Best go, lots to do,
Sar

Savvy is Up & Running!

Its all happening in my house, I took over Scrapbook Savvy yesterday after spending two days with Diane 'learning the ropes'. She has been so helpful throughout the entire process, I can't thank her enough.

I had my first order today which caused much excitement in my house, with 'woop woop's' from Daniel and the kids!

The next month or so is going to be chaos, I have so much to do in organising my at home store. Furniture and blinds are on order, we have paper racks already and others are to be built next week. Painting is still to be done. Its going to be an awesome space by the time my opening comes, the date for which will be set when I know exactly when everything will arrive. Stay tuned for that, and all local girls will be more than welcome to pop in on opening night!

Apart from Savvy happenings, today was a big day for my kids with their Easter Hat Parade at 'school' (which is actually ABC daycare). My mum & I went to watch them after Cooper asked me so nicely if I could come and watch. Him & Georgie were first in line in the parade, holding hands and just looking too adorable. Georgia kept trying to walk towards us, but he'd steer her away to stay in line with the other kids. Then we had chicken dancing and Little Peter Rabbit...you can just imagine how crazy I went with the camera, can't you!! Here's a few...

Cooper & Georgia first in line

Chicken Dancing (with Grandma & Bronte in the background)

And lastly, Cooper's favourite teacher Leanne, who he talks about ALL the time and I think he secretly has a little crush on... ;)

Tomorrow is Good Friday, and I have my family coming for lunch. Hope they can ignore the mess...lol! Sunday I will be catching up with Karen & Hayley and all the kids for us to exchange easter eggs. Monday is a scrap day at Kel's where I have to get some DT work done for Mystical. So busy busy, and all of the Savvy chaos in between!

But its fun and exciting and I'm loving every minute of it! Don't forget to pop into the Savvy forum and say hello when you get a chance.

Cheers,
Sar

I will be finishing as a Design Team Member at Mystical Scrapbooks after I have submitted all my DT work for April, but before I do, head on over and check out my Colour Challenge for this month! Give it a go and submit it to the gallery by the end of the month to be in the running for a prize.

Here is my layout, using the colours Kraft, Blue, Green & White.

And because this photo of my girlfriend Doreen's brand new baby Christian is just DIVINE, I have used it on another layout! This is the page I did at SIA in Carole Janson's class.

I would love to get the kits and teach this class sometime in the future when Scrapbook Savvy is up and running for classes....let me know if you're interested!

Cheers,
Sar

I'm feeling SAVVY!

Well girls, its time to break the news I've been hinting on! There has been a month or so of build-up but I now have confirmation...

I am the new owner of SCRAPBOOK SAVVY!

Can you believe it?! I still can't. Its all a little surreal. Next week the current owner Di & I will spend a few days together and the business will be handed over to me as of Wednesday 8 April 2009.

Lots & lots to do and think about. I have BIG plans which will include an at-home store in my downstairs studio, crops & classes, an opening night, a BIG sale, as well as lots of new & exciting happenings in the Scrapbook Savvy Forum!

It sounds as though my head is about to explode, doesn't it! I kinda think it is... LOL!

Stay tuned, there will be lots of news and announcements, and I would be stoked to see you over at the Scrapbook Savvy forum!

Cheers,
Sar
