December 15th Stuck Sketch

My layout for the latest Stuck Sketch was revealed on the blog yesterday.  Here's the sketch...

In the christmas spirit again, my latest layout for Stuck Sketches is a festive one using the SOLD OUT November Christmas Sampler Kit which I am just LOVING!

This is my wonderful hubby with our baby girl on Christmas Day last year, most years it seems that we go through the xmas season with a million photos of the kids and none of us...so I made a point of getting some of us with the kids last year :)

And a closeup of their gorgeous faces *love love love* together with my paint dauber background and my title using the bright & happy gold Thickers, which are still in stock at Savvy.

Make sure you upload your take to the Stuck blog before the end of December for your chance to win!

1st December Stuck Sketch

Its nearly time for my second layout for December to be released over at Stuck Sketches so I thought I better blog the first!

The 1st December sketch looks like this...

And being December, I thought I'd scrap a Christmas layout.  This is using last years's bright xmas kit we released at Savvy and photos of my kids spreading 'Reindeer Food' over the front lawn.

The 'Magic Reindeer Food' was given to us by a neighbour on Xmas Eve, the label on the packaging said -

'Sprinkle on your lawn at night,
the moon will make it sparkle bright,
when Santa's Reindeer fly and roam,
this will guide them to your home'

The kids just loved it!

Here's a closeup of my journalling and my title, along with a couple of handmade spiral flowers...

Another spiral flower with a pin through it, and some pleated fabric tape...

Make sure you upload your take over on the Stuck blog before the end of December for your chance to win!

This month Kerryn chose this layout from the Scrapbook Savvy Gallery by Monique...

October She's Savvy Kit - NOW SOLD OUT!

I was lucky enough to secure myself one of these gorgeous kits before they went on sale tonight and subsequently SOLD OUT.  This has to be one of my fave Savvy kits ever!

The October She's Savvy Kit looked like this...

So far I have managed four layouts and still have enough left for a fifth, not bad for $30 right?  There is nearly $35 worth of product in the kit, so great value.

My first layout is called 'Sweet Little Pussycat' and is a photo of Georgia in her 'Josie & The Pussycats' costume for last years VLDA concert.

A closeup of some of my circles, part of my title and a scatter of sequins & buttons...

And one of the Prima flowers with the ZVA flourish from the kit...

My next layout is called 'Today We Celebrate Her' and features me & my baby girl after her 3rd birthday party.  This layout is also my example for my Recipe Challenge for the October Cybercrop happening right now in the Scrapbook Savvy Forum.

A closeup of my cluster including a gorgeous Prima flower, a sequin & button scatter, part of my title and my strip journalling.

Another closeup, this time of the awesome Pink Paislee Artisan heart embellishment and Zva flourish from the kit.

My third layout is my favourite so far with this kit.  It is called 'The Girl With Kaleidoscope Eyes' and is a photo of my Georgia girl taken by my friend Lauren at Red Door Photography.  I absolutely loved using this awesome Crafters Workshop Template to create my background with texture paste, a technique I'm just using over and over at the moment.

And my final layout so far, 'All Kids Love Presents' of Little Miss Bronte just before xmas 2010.  She was so little here!

This kit is now SOLD OUT on the first night of release!  Stay tuned for the next Savvy Kit coming in November.

Charlee Turns 6 :)

I had the bestest fun at the Scrapbooking Delight's long weekend crop on Saturday!  Love the company of the girls, the chats, the laughs and the just relaxed feeling I get there....different to scrapping at home where there is always something else I should be doing!

I managed two pages for a 'secret squirrel' projects before doing this layout 'just because' of Georgia's little dancing friend Charlee at her birthday party last year.

I just loved this Cakewalk range from October Afternoon, it is all sold out in the Savvy store now except for one lonely paper that is in the clearance section.

Spending time at the crop watching Sue experiment with mists & sprays got me all inspired!  I had so much fun creating this background using three different mists (Hueys, Glimmer Mist & Dylusionals) over the top of a Crafters Workshop template.

I can't wait to experiment again soon...I think I need MORE templates in my personal stash, they are just too fun!

Hope you've had a chance to scrap over the long weekend, I'm planning on doing a bit more now!  Don't forget to head over to the Savvy forum for some awesome cybercrop challenges, you have until midnight Thursday to get your layouts done!

Scrappy Happiness Galore!

WOW what an awesome couple of scrappy weeks I've had!

Last weekend I went to the most awesome retreat of the year....the Savvy Delights Retreat for 2012!  Always a great time with my Savvy girls at the best organised retreat ever by San, the time put in to challenges and prizes and just fun for all is outstanding.

Not to mention the shop...the shop was pretty good this year...  ;)

Needless to say, I stocked up to provide the girls with lots of scrappy goodies and the Scrapbook Savvy online store is now overflowing with new releases.  Be sure to check out the New Products section.  And while I've been loading new stock I've been moving lots into clearance, so plenty of bargains now to be had in the Steals @ Savvy Sections.

Here's a few pics with the awesome girls that spent the weekend with San & I at our retreat.

I was so excited when my best friend Alicia arrived on the Friday night, I didn't think she was coming but she had secretly arranged it with San, cheeky bugger!  Linda knew but didn't tell me either!  Was great to have both my besties with me for the weekend x

The group photo (well taken just before the official group photo by Lisa), the best group of scrapping chicks around!

Me with my Savvy DT girls, it was so awesome to have us altogether for the first time! L-R Sara, Kerryn, Sar (aka ME!) and Tara.

This was the helpers left right at the end, when we'd just about finished packing cars and trailers, thanks lovelies, San & I really appreciate all of your help.

And just cause she is missing from the group photo up there ^^^ and she took all these photos that I have subsequently pinched off her Facebook, here is me with the wonderful Lisa aka Scrapwitch, was a hoot having you join us again and I loved listening to your cackle from the other end of the scrap table!

I can't actually share any of my layouts from retreat as yet, they were all either class, DT or commission commitments...but because I can't do a blog post without sharing a layout, here is the latest 15th September Stuck sketch for you...

And my take using some of the Bella Blvd Too Cute To Spook range, a layout of Georgia with San at her halloween party.

Love the effect of the mist sprayed onto the background using the ghosts as a mask as taught to me by Kerryn...then using said ghosts elsewhere on the page! You can get all these items in the 2011 Retreat Class Kit by Kerryn which has now been reduced in the Savvy Store to only $20...thats nearly half price for all class projects and step by step instructions!  This whole range is now reduced so grab a bargain before its all gone and get your halloween pics scrapped.

Be sure to upload your take on the Stuck sketch to the blog by the end of September, only a few days left!

Thanks for visiting, see ya soon!

Sept 1st Stuck Sketch

Another sketch to get you scrapping this month, and this one was just what I needed as I prepared for my Class at Savvy tonight!  I sometimes find it hard scrapping under pressure, scrapping for others, scrapping to try and show people different ideas...so to get me moving, I decided to do a sketch class for the girls.  I have scrapped four layouts for them using a variety of sketches, adding step by step instructions and a few different techniques.

This is the only one I can show so far, this is the BONUS fourth layout from tonight's class, one the girls can take home and do at their own leasure with my instructions.

Here's the 1st Sepember sketch from Stuck...

And my take (which I did totally at the last minute, accidentally scrapping the October sketches and sending them to Sara instead!!).  Princess For A Day is a layout of Georgia at one of Bronte's little friends birthday parties a couple of months ago, Cinderella came to the party and the girls just adored her!

A close up of the gorgeous peacock we are fussy cutting in the class, from the new October Afternoon Woodland Park range.  I will also show the girls how to create their own banner from scrap paper and string.

And a closeup of my tearing, this was seriously a couple of tiny scraps that have just added a little extra colour to my layout, along with a butterfly cut from a Hambly Transparency.

Upload your take on the Stuck blog by the end of the month for your chance to win!
