Its got me...

...the bug that has been going around me for a week, that is. Everyone has had it - Bronte, Georgie, Emma, my sis, my BIL...I thought I was homefree...but NO! There I was, sitting at Sandras getting ready for a fun filled night of scrapping when it hit me. I thought I felt off because I forgot to have lunch and haven't eaten much today...but no, definitely the bug. Was sick in the car on the way home, luckily I'd picked up a plastic bag on the way out of Sandras or things could've been VERY messy. :(

So here I am, lying on my bed with my laptop. The kids are at Mums. Dan is at work. Its very lonely which would otherwise be lovely...but not when I'm feeling crappy AND sad because I have such a big weekend planned with my friend Deslie's 40th on Saturday night and then Linda's little boy Jared's 3rd birthday on Sunday morning. Fingers crossed it passes quick.

So anyhoo...to brighten the mood, here's a layout. A just because for my 2008 QLD Holiday album, another 6x12.

And something else cheery are February Kits being released in just three sleeps! Here's a sneaky peek if you haven't already seen them in the forum or newsletter.

February He's Savvy

February She's Savvy

February We're Savvy

Remember, with Lisa's recent resignation from Savvy this is the last We're Savvy kit she has designed. :( The other two gorgeous kits were designed, as usual, by Sara.

Hope to see you in the store on the 1st. :)

And hope I'm better by then.... *sigh*

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #40

Wow, the numbers are getting higher and higher over at Inspired Blueprints...can't believe this is already our 40th sketch! And its an awesome one at that...I had fun doing the circle photos (haven't done that for awhile!) and also learning how to use Donna's spellbinder thingo in the meantime. Here's the sketch and my take on it.

A busy Monday here, have been getting myself sorted and organised...that time of the year is fast approaching where its going to be all systems go. Cooper starts school, my crops go back to full swing, Dan studies pick up, dancing, nippers, etc etc etc. I'm tired just thinking about it....so I'm making sure I'm organised and have been putting dates in the diary and making sure we're set.

Wish me luck!

Layout Catchup

Just a couple I scrapped while on holidays that I haven't posted yet!

This one is an old Stuck Sketch, I think from October. Miss Emma...the scrapping machine!

And this one was a Becky Higgins sketch from a recent CK Mag.

I headed downstairs tonight after we FINALLY got the kids to bed after the excitement of my nephew Sid's birthday...I was in two minds...to scrap? Or to put away the massive pile of layouts that was sitting on the scrap desk waiting for me. So what did I do? Can you guess? I scrapped! Hehe!!

I'll show you tomorrow, another 6x12 for my '08 QLD Holiday Album. Maybe I'll put those layouts away tomorrow... ;)

52 Weeks of Me!

I am joining in this year on the 52 Weeks of Me Challenge with my friends Sandra from Scrapbooking Delights and my bestie Alicia. So glad they talked me into doing it! Need to shift the focus onto me sometimes, eh... ;)

Here is my title page, a photo which was taken at midnight on New Years.

Week 1 - One of my best friend's Linda had her baby boy Mason which was so exciting!

Week 2 - All of us in the pool on our holiday. Was so funny, I set the camera up on a chair beside the pool and jumped in for us to have a family photo. It turned out awesome!

I am challenging myself to keep up with this each week, you can all nag me if I'm not, ok!!

Better go, Des is here for coffee, talk later!

Back to reality...

...with a very loud THUD!! :(

We are home from our two week holiday and life has very quickly gone back to normal. Back to house cleaning, back to work, back to getting on the scales....and let me tell you, that last one was the worst part! Over a month of eating, drinking and living it up has definitely caught up with me and I'm back on track in a BIG way! Stay tuned for more on this...not really in the mood to delve into details right now, but lets just say I'm getting back to normal and feeling better for it already. :)

Scrapwise, busy busy here at Savvy getting ready for our first Friday night crop for 2010 which is happening tomorrow night 22 Jan. Only three spots left, so if you're a local girl who wants to come along let me know asap!

Last weekend we held our January 'Holiday Scraps' cybercrop and I managed to get three layouts done last night...well I'm saying three when really it only looks like two...but the second one is a double 6x12 so offically it is two layouts! ;p

This one is for Kerryn's sketch challenge, I shrunk it down to suit my 6x12 holiday album.

The next one is Sara's challenge which was a colour combo, love these colours, just so summery.

Another late night here, I've been trying hard to get back into a reasonably early bedtime routine...but failing miserably so far! I'm aiming for a 10.30pm bedtime so I can get up bright & early to exercise in the mornings. One step at a time, eh.

Till later,
Sar

KR's Blind Scrap @ Savvy

Last Saturday night the lovely Kayla Renee offered to do a blind scrapping challenge over @ Savvy....she's such a doll! I was excited to do it the very next day and so happy with the result.

Head on over and check out the instructions if you want to give it a go, you have until midnight Thursday 21 January 2010 to pop it up in the gallery.

That is also the deadline for our January Cybercrop which starts this Friday night 15 January. This month's theme is 'Holiday Scraps' in light of me being on holidays...taking tons of photos...but also remembering all the photos from previous holidays I still haven't scrapped! If you're in the same boat, head on over to the forum on Friday night to check out the awesome challenges from Savvy's amazing DT girls.

I've been scrapping it up a little while on my holiday, its my way to relax with a wine at night and also early morning when up with the babies who get up with the sun! Here's a few that I've managed so far.

This one is the monthly sketch over @ Anna's Craft Cupboard.

A just because of my friend Nella's new baby, Kahli Rose.

Sketch #36 at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks, so sad that this challenge site has now finished up.

And another just because of my boy at Nippers, doing the bucket race.

Found out the Scrapbooking Memories Masters yesterday via a post on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum, was very excited to see some Savvy girls on the list including my friend and local girl Kim Arnold, and forum friends Kellie Lusted & Karen Watson. Congratulations girls, you will do an AWESOME job this year alongside the other amazing ladies on the list.

Till next time,
Sar

Sketch #39 @ Inspired Blueprints

I have heard a bit of talk lately about the lack of challenge blogs that are still running...so if you're one of the people looking for another challenge blog to enter, don't forget about Inspired Blueprints! Two sketches a month and great prizes from our sponsors each month.

Here is the latest sketch, the first one for January, Sketch #39 and my take on it.

Me & some of my best friends in the whole world @ the Scrapbooking Delights retreat last August, was such a great time and can't wait for the next one! The next one is a combined retreat with Scrapbooking Delights & Scrapbook Savvy and you'll find all the details on the Scrapbook Savvy forum.

Still holidaying and having a fab time, hit Seaworld yesterday with Donna and her family, the kids had a ball and so did we. Kicked on last night with dinner at our apartment, kids had a swim, we had yummy thai food and a few drinks to go with it. Wish we had more time together, such good company and such fun people!

Today was a lazy day, by the pool, at the beach and a nap in there as well. About to head to the local surf club for dinner, fingers crossed the kids are well behaved.

Chat soon! Its beer o'clock... ;)

Hello from the sunny Gold Coast!

Well here I am, holidaying it up on the Gold Coast with the family, having a fab time. Today was made even better by having a scrap day with the gorgeous Donna (my kinda cousin!) and Sara. Its amazing to meet girls I talk to online every single day in real life. I had a fab day, got four layouts done, and could've spent sooo much more time with them. Pity it went so fast, but so thankful for the time that we DID have. xoxo

Here we are, thanks Dan for taking a pic of us altogether.

I can't show them all, but here are a couple of layouts I finished today.

This was the last blind scrap held at Scrapbooking From Scratch, I couldn't do it on the day as I was heading off on holidays, but managed to get it done today together with Sara & Donna and they both LOVED it. Thanks Peta!

And this one, which is the monthly sketch over at SFS and ALSO the Scrap The Girls challenge....two birds with one stone, nothing better!

So far we've only done the one theme park but it is only our third full day here, we're hoping to do another tomorrow. Wait and see what the weather is doing before we decide on either Wet & Wild or Seaworld. Dan had a fab b'day yesterday, we spent the day at Movieworld and had a ball.

Here he is on the little train ride with his baby girl. Such a good daddy. :)

Cooper & The Flash - Coop was VERY excited about having his photo taken with him.

Georgie was so excited to be a big girl and go on a ride with Cooper right at the end of the day, and he was such a good big brother...holding her hand, helping her get on and just being there with her.

And here is the AWFUL view we're looking at all day....sad life, isn't it? ;)

Till I get a chance to blog again, thanks for visiting me dear bloggers, and talk to you soon. xoxo

OH, and I nearly forgot to tell you....we're having a 'Cats Away Sale' at Scrapbook Savvy which started yesterday and is happening for ten days. 25% off storewide! You just have to wait till I return from holidays to post your order....but definitely worth it to get such a great discount on everything in store (excluding kits, steals & vouchers). Remember how much awesome new stock I've been getting in lately? Well its all on sale, so head on over and check it out!

Happy Birthday Georgie!

Can you believe my girl is three? I certainly can't!

She's had a lovely birthday morning and been VERY spoilt. Mummy tends to over compensate for the fact that Georgie's birthday is right after Xmas and she has to wait another whole year for more presents...

My gorgeous girl opening her birthday card

All of us, even Miss Emma, so glad she was here for Georgie's birthday morning

OMG!!! She's spotted her new trampoline and she's off!

Georgie jumping on the new trampoline!
