Scrap The Boys April Challenge

Layout #6 of my SFS scrappy visit was my take on this month's mood board at Scrap The Boys.  The mood board looks like this...

Jetty Swim - a layout of my son Cooper and my hubby swimming from the jetty at Wollongong Harbour across to the beach.  It isn't really that far but for a little boy who was only 8 years old at the time, it was a really long way!

I have used the January TSK Kit from The Scrappery called Cleo, which I found really versatile in that I could do boy pages with it even though the kit originally looked really girly to me!

From the board, I have taken inspiration from the colour palette, the wood grain which I've used in the paper underneath, the water theme and also some sparkle in my sequins.

As you can see I have used gelatos on the background again but very different colouring to my other layouts.  I love that you can match the colours to whatever theme you're working with, but I'm definitely going to have to invest in some more soon so I have a bigger range to choose from!

Thanks for dropping by!

Cheers,
Sarah
