I was lucky enough to have a visitor staying with me last weekend from QLD, my friend and fellow Savvy scrapper & kit designer
Sara.
We had a great time, from Krispy Kremes to Savvy Class to Delights Crop to Evermore to cruisy couch time...we were just catching up and laughing a lot, and generally spending some time in real life instead of the facebook chat that usually sees us communicating each day. The time flew and I was dropping her back to the airport before I knew it...but all going well she'll be back in just a couple of weeks to join me with the Scrapbook Savvy Store at Long Point Retreat.
So first up, we had a class here at
Scrapbook Savvy on the Friday night. My classes are now being held fortnightly and just about booking out before I get a chance to advertise them! I'm loving sharing tips and techniques with my local girls, and they are loving getting FOUR pages guaranteed from just a few hours scrapping with me....along with the best coffee around, of course ;)
My class this time was Easter theme, and the class layouts looked like this...the first one was actually the
May Cybercrop Sketch, a great way to start me on a roll when I'm working out class layouts!
All the girls had a great night and got their layouts completed, I LOVE making them get messy with inks and paints and templates, so fun!
On the Saturday Sara & I spent the day at my local scrapbook shop
Scrapbooking Delights with
San, it went so fast and I only managed two layouts on the day...but better than nothing!
The first is my layout for my upcoming
June BIG Savvy Sketch reveal coming up on the 15th, here's a peek...
The next one was a 'just because' layout which I don't seem to do enough of! This was pure fun and I love the layered
washi background behind my photo...
A closeup of the gorgeous Prima flower I picked up from
Delights with a cluster of flair, buttons & some
Flourish With A Bling over some ribbon.
And the other cluster with some more flowers, journal spot and a gorgeous flair button from
A Lil Somethin.
We went to see
Evermore on the Saturday night, which was a great show although never long enough really!
This would've had to be my most favourite song of the night...
I also managed a few
SMASH pages during our lazy Sunday, but you can check them out over on the
Savvy blog here.
I am so grateful for the friends I've made online due to this scrappy life I've chosen for myself, people I never would have known or met in my 'real life'.
Until next time Miss Sara, I hope I got you inspired to get scrapping again and that you enjoyed your stay with me....I know I did xxx
